Positive: The location is as good as you can get. The staff are really lovely. The self catering bungalows are much better than the basic bungalows.
Negative: Property is next to a huge building site. Lots of noise from 9am to 5pm. No works on Saturday or Sunday. Breakfast is comically bad.
Summary: Fantastic site and fabulous staff.

Positive: Fabulous location right on the beach. Fajara is a lovely area away from the hustle and bustle but close in a taxi. Couple of decent restaurants nearby . Rooms are basic but very good value. Wonderful to run straight into the sea and play in the waves

Positive: Good location right on the beach. Spacious room. Hot shower is very nice. The hotel could use a general renovation. But then, the price would double or triple. As it is now the price/quality ratio is very good.
Negative: Breakfast is at 8.30 which is inconvenient. Would be much better to have breakfast at 7 or 7.30. Then you can go for a walk after breakfast while it is still relatively cool. Construction works next door, usually starts at 9.00, finishes at 16.30. It can get noisy on the hotel grounds, but on the beach you don't hear it.

Positive: The location is great, I would say the best around there if you’re not a fan of crowds. It is right on the beach and has a lot of shade in the grounds and places to sit, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and bar on site, though having to wait until 8.30 for breakfast is irritating. Bedside plugs is good. Free breakfast was ok though it didn’t say on booking.com that this was included in the price, which I suggest it should.
Negative: Wifi is poor, shower was cold, I expected hot water at the price. The room needed a complete refurb, and would be worth a lot more then. Essentially you are paying for the location, which is undeniably good, the room is more like those half/a third the price elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend the room I had for a romantic getaway, more long term African travel type standard. Room could be cleaner, though always a challenge near a beach. I am not convinced the location justifies the price. If I was the owner I would redevelop the rooms and charge more for the better ones.

Positive: nice location close to beach,restaurant with good food in the hotel;kids could play on the beach with sand and were in the shade of palms-no risk of getting burn from the sun quickly
Negative: not worth the price,room equipment very old,not refurbished,staff relatively ok,but we asked more times for more sheets to cover at night and did not get it,airconditioning was broken and we were moved to another room with a working one;refrigerator could not be closed properly so it was so hot I better swiched it off;kitchen dirty with sticky oil,that was not properly cleaned-we did not use the kitchen after all;restaurant with relatively good food but relatively high price in comparisson to other places in Gambia;if it was cheaper I would buy more

Positive: Great hotel for the price. It is right in front of a sandy beach and you can go for a swim. The hotel is not touristy and there are mostly locals there and on the beach. The receptionist was very helpful and organised us a taxi early in the morning and a breakfast to go as we were leaving before it opened. The room was clean and spacious, with good air conditioning.
Negative: The bed was not the most comfortable, and the food from the restaurant was okay but not amazing.
